The Cozy Cafe Crew has been hard at work on interior design for the cafe, and today we wanted to give you a sneak peek into our design process!
Posted here is one of our many mood/aesthetic/inspiration boards. We've been combing the internet for inspiration, trying to come up with the exact vibe we want for Cozy Cafe. This board offers a sneak peek into some of the elements you'll see incorporated into the finished product.
The number one adjective to describe our design aesthetic would be "eclectic." While our primary color scheme is robin's egg blue with shades of grey and brown, we will also be incorporating pops of vibrant color throughout the cafe in the form of light fixtures, art, and dishes. Rather than having the stark white china most coffee shops and cafes have, we want a funky mix of patterned dishes, adding a spark of color to every table.
You can also expect to see an assortment of succulents at Cozy Cafe, reflecting the cafe's Southern roots. In the upper right, you can see one source of inspiration for the look of our in-house library of reading materials and games. One of our team members is refurnishing a vintage book cabinet in our signature colors, ready to house entertainment for our customers!
Anticipate seeing a variety of tables and chairs, in different colors and finishes, incorporating cushions and coverings in rich, bold colors. We are still hunting for the perfect comfy couch to be the centerpiece of our casual seating area. Mixing vintage pieces with contemporary items on a budget has been a fun and exciting part of our design process!
