The Best at Home Coffee

During these unpredictable times, you may find yourself missing your local coffee shops ( I know I do). Regular drip coffee has gotten boring and all you want is something different to drink that will make you feel as if you bought a drink at a coffee shop. Dalgona coffee, or whipped coffee, has been quite popular recently due to its fluffy look on the top of the drink. With only a few ingredients and little steps, this delicious coffee can be made.

The amazing thing about this recipe is that you most likely have all the ingredients at your fingertips: sugar, hot water, and instant coffee. An electric mixer on hand is helpful to have though is not required. Whether the coffee be medium roast, dark roast, blonde roast, decaf, it doesn't matter! As long as the label reads 'instant' you are good to go! With these three items at hand, you are ready to create some fluffy coffee.

How to Make Dalgona Coffee

1. Combine the ingredients into a bowl.

With two tablespoons of each ingredient, you are to put them into a bowl. Similar to baking, dry ingredients are to be mixed separately from the wet and then later combined. The best method with this is to first add the instant coffee and sugar into the bowl following it up with hot water.

2. Mix Until Fluffy!

Once the hot water has been added, it is important to mix quickly until the coffee begins to get fluffy, or froth up. This make take around 5-7 minutes depending on how consistent you are with mixing up the ingredients. This step may cost you an arm if you don't have an electric mixer, but once you finally make it to the fluffy state, it will all be worth it.

3. Pour your milk

Pour your preferred milk into a cup leaving around 3/4 room or just enough room to scoop the coffee on top. Serve with a straw, combine the milk and coffee by stirring, and enjoy (after taking a picture, of course) !
